After a very quiet couple of weekends on the US box office a monster of a film gets release this weeks in the shape of IT Chapter Two, but it comes in quite a bit below the original IT from 2 years ago, it still dominates the box office.
Following on 2 years from 2017's IT the follow up takes over at the top of the US box office with ease, but whereas the first film opened to a massive $126 Million Chapter Two comes in at $91 Million.
The fan base is still there, and unlike other sequels this isn't a sequel as much as it completes the Stephen King book which interwinds between the two stories throughout.
With favourable reviews the film should see itself do well over the autumn (fall) and in the build up to Halloween where it is bound to get re-promoted.
The threequel movie starring Gerard Butler and Morgan Freeman falls to number 2 after a couple of weeks at the top with a weekend gross of $6 Million.
