News from around the web

Another casualty of the current cinema closures comes from Warner Bros. Scoob! CGI animated features which will get a VOD (Video On Demand) release on May 15th.

This date should have been the theatrical release date but as bigger cinema films are getting pushed back to late 2020 and throughout 2021 Warner Bros. have identified this Scooby-Doo origin movie has missed the box office boat.

For people who watch the box office lets hope this does not become a trend and its just a moment in time when most of the globe was in lock down.

This should be good news for many parents who will have their children at home until the new school year and are looking at ways to entertain them.

There are still a few more films to get a new release date but most film have now been rescheduled, we just need to watch now of the lockdown last into June, otherwise we'll start having more re-schedules!

After the original Peter Rabbit took a very respectable $351 Million globally (£41 Million in the UK) a sequel was inevitable, and Sony have released a new trailer for the March film.

Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway stars the voice talent of James Corden as Peter and this time he is joined by Margot Robbie and Rose Byrne.

The film is subtitled The Runaways and in the trailer we see them .... well running away.

The original movie didn't get good reviews, but this is a movie aimed well and truly at kids, its released on 27th March 2020, just in time for the Easter Holidays, and after the Gavin and Stacy Christmas Special we are all in love with James Cordon!

The new animated version of The Addams Family is a given a PG rating by the BBFC in the UK.

Taking the starring roles and lending their voices this time are Oscar Isaac and Charlize Theron as Gomes and Morticia Addams.

The BBFC have given the animation a PG rating for mild comic threat, language and it has a runtime of 86 minutes (1 hour and 26 minutes) and the movie was passed uncut.

The film has a release date of 25th October 2019, just in time for Halloween!

MGM have released a new trailer for the upcoming animated version of The Addams Family which gets a cinema release on 25th October - just in time for halloween.

There have been numerous version of the cooky family from the original TV series to the well received movies starring Anjelica Huston and Raul Julia.

This new animated version starring the voices Oscar Isaac and Chloe Grace Moretz seems to follow the style of the previous 2 incarnation and looks set to be a big hit later this year.

Check out the new trailer below.
