Free Guy spends its third weekend at the top of the Global box office this weekend as its faces potential strong competition from newcomer Candyman.
As it turned out the Ryan Reynolds starring movie took a commanding lead over the Candyman remake which has to accept being the top new movie at number 2.

The Shawn Levy directed sleeper hit of the summer remains at the top of the global box office for a third straight weekend with a gross of $50.8 Million from 48 countries, a slim 30% drop which is fantastic for a number 1 movie on its third weekend.
The movie has been on the global box office for three weeks and has taken a total gross of $165.4 Million.
The highest debut of the weekend comes in at number 2, the remake/reboot of the Candyman franchise which was fist released in the mid '90's.
The movie got decent reviews but a release in 52 countries gives it a debut gross of $27.5 Million, almost half that of the top movie of the weekend.
The children's favourite makings its mark on the big screen falls to number 3 this weekend with a gross of $16.9 Million from 47 countries, a good 34% drop over last weekend, giving the movie a $61.8 Million total after 3 weeks of release.
The hit Chinese movie is still only released in 4 countries but still manages to retain a top 5 position, this week at number 4 with $9.3 Million, a 30% drop over last weekend, the movie has a total gross of $165.4 Million after 5 weeks.
Disney's action adventure movie has a slow start on the box office but has retained good number over the weeks and this weekend takes $7.7 Million from 50 countries, a 25% drop.
After 5 weeks of release the movie has taken $187 Million and is the 10th top movie if 2021 globally.

Free Guy held on for a second weekend as the top film across the world with The Paw Patrol Movie impressively jumping to number 2 on its second weekend.
There were no new movies hitting the top 5 this weekend with the top new film of the weekend entering the chart at number 9 with Reminiscence taking $5 Million on its debut, Hostage: Missing Celebrity is new at 10 with $4.4 Million.
Sawn Levys action comedy set in a video game universe remains at the top of the global box office this weekend with a gross of $35.8 Million from 47 countries, a very slim 29% drop over last weekend.
The movie has a global gross of $111.9 Million after 2 weeks of release and is set to enter the top 20 of 2021 by next weekend.
Proving to be a big global hit the children's movie climbs from 10 to 2 this weekend with a gross of $25.8 Million from 34 countries, a massive 78% increase over last weekend.
The movie has a total gross after 2 weeks of $34.5 Million.
The Chinese hit movie is now 4 weeks on and takes $13.2 Million from 4 countries this weekend, a 50% drop over last week, giving the movie a $146.6 Million in total.
The comic book super villain movie from director James Gunn falls to 4 and takes $12.1 Million from a massive 74 countries, a 51% drop over last week, this gives the movie a 4 weekend total of $140.7 Million.
Falling to 5 this weekend is Disneys jungle adventure movie which takes $10.3 Million from 50 countries, a good 34% drop on its 4th weekend, the movie has a total global gross of $173.7 Million.

As the movies that were delayed due to the pandemic keep hitting the global box office we get another new movie making its debut at the top, this week its Free Guy which has a better debut than expected.
Horror sequel Don't Breathe 2 also gets a new entry at number 5 this weekend while the Aretha Franklin Bio-Pic Respect gets a debut at number 6 with $8.8 Million.
Sinkhole and The Paw Patrol Movie finish off the top 10 with debut's at 9 and 10 respectively and $6 Million and $5.8 Million respectively.

Delayed in cinemas because of the pandemic the Ryan Reynolds starring comedy finally gets a release and hits the top of the global box office on its debut.
The movie is a feel good comedy about a video game non playable character who suddenly realises what he is, and just maybe this is what the world needs right now as the movie takes just over $50 Million on its debut from 42 countries.
The Chinese produced movie movies back up to number 2 this weekend with a release in a couple more territories and this weekend takes $26.3 Million from just 3 countries, an 18% increase from last weekend.
This gives the movie a total global gross of $122.2 Million after 3 weeks of release.
Falling from the top on its third weekend of release the comic book bad guy movie takes $24.7 Million this weekend from a massive 71 countries, a large 60% drop from last weekend where is went on wide release.
The movie has been around for 3 weeks now and has taken $118 Million globally.
The Disney adventure movie based on a themepark ride takes $15.7 Million this weekend from 50 countries, a 49% drop over last weekending, giving the movie a $154.1 Million total after 3 weeks.
A sequel to the 2016 original Don't Breathe hits the global box office at number 5 this weekend with a debut gross of $14 Million from 24 countries.

The James Gunn directed The Suicide Squad climbs to the top of the global box office as it gets its North American debut.
There were no new releases on the global box office top 10 this weekend although Fast and Furious 9 did get a large boost in its weekly gross as it gets a Chinese release.

Starring Margot Robbie and Idris Elba among an all star cast, the second interpretation of the comic boob material makes its debut at number 10 last weekend and this week after a North American debut makes it to the top of the global box office.
The movie takes $61.5 Million from 71 countries, a massive 89% increase over last weekend, giving the film a total gross of $72.2 Milllion after 2 weeks on the box office.
The Disney movie based on a ride falls to number 2 this weekend with a global gross of $30.7 Million over the weekend from 50 countries, a 50% drop, giving the movie a 2 week gross of $121.8 Million.
The Chinese hit movie is still only released in the single country and this week falls to 3 on the global box office, but it still took $21.5 Million, a 42% drop over last weekend.
The movie has now taken $82.3 Million over its 2 weeks of release.
The latest movie from The Fast Saga has been on the box office for 12 weeks now and this week gets a boost from a Chinese release, it jumps from 8 to 4 and takes $13.2 Million from 62 countries, a 19% increase over last week.
The movies global gross now sits at $661 Million and its the third highest global movie of 2021.
Another movie jumping up the chart from 9 to number 5, the movie is only released in China and this week takes $9.5 Million, a slim 8% drop over last weekend, giving the film a total of $16 Million after 2 weeks of release.

Disney release their latest movie this weekend, Jungle Cruise, which hits the top of the global box office on its debut week of release.
Also making a high new entry is Chinese movie Raging Fire which makes its debut at number 2 and also from China is Upcoming Summer which is new at number 3.
Lower down the box office Escape From Mogadishu is a new entry and number 9 with $10.3 Million and The Suicide Squad is a new entry at number 10 with $7 Million from just 5 countries.

Disney's new movie starring Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt gets a release in 48 countries this week and makes its debut at the top of the box office with $61.7 Million .
Released only in China this crime thriller makes its debut at number 2 with $37.3 Million.
Another film only released to the Chinese market this week which makes its debut at number 3 with $20.6 Million
Falling from number 3 to 4 this week is the M. Night Shyamalan movie which takes $14.2 Million on its second weekend, a 38% drop, of release for a 48.6 Million total.
Falling to numer 5 this week from number 2 is the Marvel movie which takes $14.1 Million on its 4th weekend of release, a 46% drop, for a $343.5 Million total.
