At the UK box office this weekend Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom went back to the top of the chart after a week away, it took an incredible £2 million on its fourth weekend.

Highest new film Sicario 2 Soldado

The film has now taken £34 million in the UK, the first Jurassic World by this point had taken £54 million so the sequel is quite a way behind.

Falling to number 2 after a week at the top is Ocean's 8, a weekend gross of £1.2 million brings the films UK gross to £6.8 million after 2 weekends.

highest new film of the week is Sicario 2 Soldado which enters at number 3 with a weekend gross of just under £700,000.

A couple of other new films finish off the top 5 in the shape of comedy Tag at number 4 with and Indian film Ssnju at number 5.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom holds on to the top spot in the US for a second weekend with a gross of $60 million.

This brings the films total gross in the US to $264 million from 2 weekends of play.

Holding onto the runner up spot for a second weekend is Incredibles 2 which takes $45 million for the weekend and now has a total gross in the US of $439 million, surpassing the originals total.

Highest new film of the week is Sicario 2 Soldado with a weekend gross of $19 million.

Also new this week is Uncle Drew at number 4 which takes $15 million and rounding out the top 5 is Ocean's 8 which adds $8 million for a $114 million US total.

Making it a third week on the trop Fast and Furious 7 retains the top of the box office taking £3.03 million for the weekend, bringing it's total to a fantastic £32 million.

Furious 7 should overtake Fifty Shades of Grey as the highest grossing film of the year by next weekend, it continues to dominate across the globe as well and had now taken over $1 Billion.

Without much doubt this will be the last week it spends a the top as the next is the successful Marvel universe films is released this Thursday.

Highest new film of the week enters the box office at number 4 in the form of Child 44 which grosses just over half a million pound.

Also new this week is the Alan Rickman directed A Little Chaos which enters at 7.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was the highest new film of the week at the top which removed Rio 2 which fell to number 2.

Five years ago
Debuting at the top was Roman tearjerker Dear John, it removed Clash of The Titans with fell to number 2.

Ten years ago
Nicole Kidman starred in The Interpreter which debuted at the top of the box office sending The Amityville Horror down to number 2.

Fifteen years ago
Pokémon The First Movie was the highest new film which made its debut at the top, Erin Brockovich fell from the top to the number 2 spot.

Twenty years ago
Muriels Wedding was the top new film of the week with Dumb and Dumber falling down to number 2 from the top spot.

In what became fantastic weekend gross Fast and Furious 7 makes it's debut at the top of the UK box office with ease, although last weeks top film still does decent numbers.

Furious 7 took an excellent £12.7 million over the Easter weekend and in the process not only became the top film in the motoring franchise but is also the 31st highest film debut in the UK.

Having a debut similar to that of a Hunger games film or Inbetweener Movie will see the film gross over £30 million in the UK, and in comparison it's near the debut of Fifty Shades of Grey which has so far made £34 million.

Last weeks top film, Cinderella, takes nearly £3 million for the weekend placing at 2 with it's total UK gross now at just over £10 million.

Also new this week are The Water Diviner at 7 and While We're Young at number 8.

Also making an appearance due to screening by the BFI is the 1982 Ridley Scott sci-fi classic Blade Runner which has taken £267,452 over the weekend.

This time last year Rio 2 stormed the box office on it's debut and made number 1 knocking Captain America: The Winter Soldier down to number 2.

Five years ago
It was all change at the top with an all new top 3, highest of which at number 1 was Clash of t he Titans, the previous number 1 Nanny Mcphee and The Big Bang fell to 4.

Ten years ago
Horror sequel The Ring Two took over from Hitch at the top of the box office, which fell to number 3 after 3 weeks on the chart.

Fifteen years ago
Lake Placid was the top new film which entered at the top, it knocked Toy Story 2 down to 3rd place after 7 weeks at the top.

Twenty years ago Dumb and Dumber as the top film of April while twenty five years ago Pretty Woman was the top film of the month.

This week the teen film drama Divergent entered the UK video charts at the top knocking Rio 2 down to 3rd place.

Divergent was released in the UK on April 4th this year and made it's debut at number 4 with a weekend gross of £1.7 million.

It stayed at the box office for 5 weeks, it did stay at number 4 on it's second week of release, it took a total gross of £6.4 million.

In the US Divergent made $150 million dollars and did make number 1 while world wide it took $244 million.
