Angelina Jolie returns as the Mistress Of Evil in Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil and the BBFC have given the film a PG age rating in the UK.

The film is a follow up to the 2014 film Maleficent which took nearly £20 Million at the UK box office.

Jolie is joined by Elle Fanning again while joining the party to add star power is Michelle Pfeiffer.

The films PG rating has been given by the BBFC for moderate fantasy threat, mild violence, scary scenes while the film has a runtime of 118 minutes (1 hour 58 minutes), the film was passed uncut and is released on 18th October 2019.

For perhaps the last weekend Avengers Infinity War continues its reign at the top of the US box office now on its 3rd weekend of release.

With a $61.8 million weekend take this brings the film total US gross to a staggering $547 million in less than 21 days.

Highest new film of the week is the Mellisa McCarthy comedy Life Of The Party which enters the box office at number 2 with a gross of $18.5 million.

Also new at number 3 is Breaking In which takes $16.5 million over the weekend.

To finish off the weekend we have Overboard with $10.1 million at number 4 and A Quiet Place at number 5 with $6.4 million, this brings the films total US gross to $169.5 million.

With the slow box office of Blade Runner 2049 the UK chart sees a new number 1 in the shape of The Lego Ninjago Movie, but it was a battle for the top.

Its the third movie based on the lego franchise and each one has made its debut at the top, but The Lego Ninjago Movie has done so with the lowest opening.

With £3.6 million there is the feeling that the general public are starting to get used to seeing the Lego franchise on the big screen and are maybe waiting for home video before watching.

Regardless this is still a number one film and with a sequel to the original Lego Movie coming soon you can imagine that being a box office hit as well.

Blade Runner 2049 falls from the top to number 2 this week, but with a £3 million weekend it fought hard to stay on top.

The full week gross was £6.1 million so it easily was the top film of the week, the total gross currently sits at £12.1 million.

Also new this week is The Snowman at number 3 with a weekend gross of £1.3 million and Botoks is new at 5 with nearly £0.8 million.

The Ritual is new at number 7 with and the highly acclaimed movie Loving Vincent is new at number 9, Sally Potter just creeps into the top 10 at 10 as The Party makes its debut.

Despicable Me 3 has now been on the box office for 16 weeks and has a total gross of £47 million.

The domination of Jurassic World continues in the US this week as the film makes it 3 weeks at the top with nothing coming any where near it in that time.

A shade under a 50% drop in taking from last week has Jurassic World's weekend gross at $54 million which brings it's total gross now to $500 million in the US, it is the fastest film to make the landmark.

Pixar can't be forgotten in all this, under normal circumstances this would be the second week at the top for Inside Out, but it simply can't beat Jurassic World.

Highest new film of the week is Ted 2 which lands at 3, a decent weekend take of $33 million which in another week would have safely seen it get to the top.

The two headed force of Jurassic World and Inside Out could spoil the party for a number of other film in the coming weeks as well.

One other new film in the US charted this week, Max landed at 4 with $12 million.

Sorry about the pun! To mark the release of the full Star Wars Saga on Blu-ray for the first time BT turned the BT Tower into a giant Lightsaber, and pretty cool it looked too.

As luck would have it the body of the tower does resemble the handle of a Star Wars Light Saber, so they then projected a very powerful light from the top to get the effect.

Turning on the Lightsaber was the man behind C-3PO Anthony Daniels and the party that took place at the top of the tower was attended by many other stars from the saga.
