The UK video chart this week has the yellow creatures from Despicable Me, the Minions, make their home video debut at the top.

Minions was release as one of the tentpole film releases of the summer on 26th June 2015 and on its debut weekend took £11.5 million, and of course debuted at the top.

The film spent an incredible 16 on the box office and has only really just left cinemas, its last appearance being October 30th.

Over the course of its 16 weeks in the UK Minions grossed a total of £47 million, it is the fourth highest grossing film of 2015 and the 31st highest grossing in the UK ever.

Across the globe it also did really well grossing $1.1 billion and is only the third animated film to go over the billion mark after Frozen and Toy Story 3.

Spy which was the top film last week falls down to number 3 this week.

With such a strong selling film released this week there were no other films on home video to his the chart.
