Jurassic World: Dominion
It's been a long time coming, 13 weeks in fact, but it looks like this weekend will finally see the second movie of 2022 break the $1 Billion milestone as Jurassic World: Dominion goes past this once unreachable figure.

Jurassic World Dominion Top Gun: Maverick has been enjoying all the glory this summer as the biggest movie and the only movie to pass the $1 Billion milestone, but it will be joined this weekend.

Pre Pandemic it was not unusual for a (mainly Disney/Marvel) movie to pass the milestone, but since 2020 only Spider-Man: No Way Home and Top Gun: Maverick has managed to go over $1 Billion in global grosses.

This weekend the third, and final! Jurassic World movie will make it meaning that all the sequel trilogy movies have made over a Billion dollars globally making it a $4 Billion dollar sequel franchise and making the Jurassic series one of the most profitable in Cinema history.

The big question now is will this spur Universal on to make another set of Dinosaur movies?
