Sequel movie Meg 2: The Trench has been given a 12A age rating in the UK for moderate threat, violence, bloody images, rude gestures

As with the first movie, The Meg, the followup stars Jason Statham who has previously starred in Fast and Furious 7 and Cellular, the movie also stars Sienna Guillory who has appeared in Resident Evil: Afterlife and Kiss, Kiss! Bang Bang.

Taking over on directing duties this time is Ben Wheatley who has previously directed Sightseers and Rebecca.

Jonas Taylor leads a research team on an exploratory dive into the deepest depths of the ocean.
