If the numbers for this reboot are better than when Angelina Jolie was Lara Croft in 2 films this could start a new franchise.
The original try at bringing the Tomb Raider franchise to the big screen in 2001 with Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and then in 2003 with Lara Croft: Tomb Raider - The Cradle of Life took $274 Million and $160 Million worldwide respectively .
The gaming franchise has seen a lot of changes since the early 2000's and it looks like this is reflected in the new movie.
The film is set for release on 16th March 2018
