New UK movie preview 18th December 2020 - Wonder Woman 1984, Arkansas, The Racer, Let Him Go and Come Away

Released in the UK this weekend, Friday, 18th December 2020, there are 5 new releases looking to take your attention and where available get you into your local cinema to try and knock Elf from the top of the UK box office.

Wonder Woman 1984

  • The movie is directed by Patty Jenkins
  • Patty Jenkins also directed Wonder Woman in 2017 which grossed £22.2 Million in the UK and grossed $821 8 Million globally.
  • It stars Gal Gadot who last starred in Between Two Ferns: The Movie (2019).
  • The film also stars Chris Pine who last appeared in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018).
  • Gal Gadot and Chris Pine appeared in Wonder Woman (2017) together.

Arkansas

Arkansas
  • This new release stars Liam Hemsworth who's last film was Isn't It Romantic (2019)
  • It also stars Jacob Zachar who appeared in Transformers: The Last Knight (2017).
  • The film is brought to us by new director Clark Duke.

The Racer

  • The movie is directed by Kieron J. Walsh who directed When Brendan Met Trudy in 2001.
  • It stars Louis Talpe and Matteo Simoni.

Let Him Go

  • Also this week there is Let Him Go from director Thomas Bezucha who also directed Monte Carlo in 2011.
  • The film features Diane Lane and Kevin Costner in starring roles.

Come Away

  • The long list of new releases continues with Come Away which is directed by Brenda Chapman which is a directorial debut.
  • It stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Carter Thomas.
