Odeon to show Alice, cancels boycott

Odeon to show Alice, cancels boycott

Alice In Wonderland
The cinema chain Odeon has changed it's mind on the idea of not showing the Tim Burton directed Alice in Wonderland after apparently holding talks with the distributer, Disney, over the DVD window.

Odeon had been holding out on Disney deciding not to show the new Alice film which is in 3D claiming that the window to DVD of 12 weeks (it's normally 17 - 24 weeks) was not long enough to allow them to make substantial money, especially considering the outlay the company had spent on digital projection upgrades.

After a length talk with Disney Odeon have now backed down on the boycott and will show the film on it's cinemas, I suppose some money is better than no money.
