Sonic the Hedgehog 2 has been given a PG age rating for mild violence, language

After the first Sonic the Hedgehog movie grossed over $300 Million worldwide there was going to be a sequel, and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 has been given a PG age rating in the UK by the BBFC

The movie stars once again Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic and joining him this time around are Idris Elba as villain Knuckles and Colleen Oshaughnessey as tails, Jim Carrey is also returning as Dr. Ivo Robotnik.

The movie is directed by Jeff Fowler who made his feature film debut with the first Sonic movie.

Movie Synopsis

After settling in Green Hills, Sonic is eager to prove that he has what it takes to be a true hero. His test comes when Dr. Robotnik returns with a new partner, Knuckles, in search of a mystical emerald that has the power to destroy civilizations. Sonic teams up with his own sidekick, Tails, and together they embark on a globe-trotting journey to find the emerald before it falls into the wrong hands.
