Sony have announced another Spider-Man starring Toby Maguire and directed by Sam Raimi
Spider-Man
When Spider Man 3 was released back in May 2007 I distinctly remember reading and hearing that the cast would not be returning for anymore and this was the end of the story and end of the road for Sam Raimi and his cast.

But then after the amount of money that the franchise has made it seems that Sam Raimi and Toby Maguire are on board for a fourth installment!

When I think back at how good and fresh the original was and then how good and action packed its sequel Spider Man 2 was I sort of forgave the film makers for the under exciting and run of the mill 3rd installment.

Let's now leave the franchise alone, maybe let another group revisit it down the line, maybe find a new angle or something, but let's leave it alone. But no Sony being in the business of making money, and the trilogy has made a ton of money and comic book heroes are raking in big bucks at the box office a fourth is going to be with us by about 2010!

Lets just hope that a new story is devised and a fresh new group of characters are brought into play and we don't have baddie overkill which ruined the 3rd film. It's in good hands let's just hope it' not used just to bring in the bucks for Sony on the back of the good name of Spider Man.
