World Box Office Weekending 10 July 2016: Your pets secret life it still on top, Cold War 2 top new film

At the global box office this week The Secret Life of Pets is still the top film while Chinese crime drama Cold War 2 is the highest new film.

Despite competition from a number of other films on the top 5 The Secret Life of Pets managed to take another $110 million from 10 territories over the week.

The film now has a global gross of $145,772,440 but has many more territories to open in so expect that to climb.

Finding Dory is holding strong at number 2 with $50 million this week, its global gross has risen to 624.1 million from 41 countries, it is also the highest total grossing movie on the top 10.

China is one of the largest cinema going countries in the world and this week from its release in a single territory - China - Cold War 2 takes an amazing $44 million and is at number 4 this week.

Also just as impressive is the Chinese animated film at number 6 this week - Big Fish & Chinese Flowering Crabapple - a $32 million gross from just 1 country.
