Spectre was the top film in the UK for 2015

ADVERTISMENT
Spectre
In 2015 Bond was back, and the resulting film starring Daniel Craig and directed by Sam Mandes was the top grossing film in the UK for 2015.

Spectre has to date taken an incredible £93.4 million but it is still on general release in the UK so this might grow, although it's declining fast so it could get to £95 million at best.

Coming in hard is Star Wars The Force Awakens which so far has taken nearly £66 million at the UK box office, although it will not beat Spectre in 2015 it will beat it by the end of its run.

I also suspect that The Force Awakens will eventually become the highest grossing film ever in the UK, but that will have to wait until 2016.

Also featuring as the top films of 2015 are Jurassic Wold, Avengers Age of Ultron and Minions who all too over £40 million in the UK.

He top five were all sequels (of sorts) and the top 2 were long awaited returns of massively successful franchises, James Bond and Star Wars.

Here is the top 10 film in the UK of 2015

  1. Spectre = £93,444,460
