US Box Office Report 31st July 2015: Tom Cruise can still top the box office

Mission:Impossible - Rogue Nation
As if it was in any doubt this week as we see Tom Cruise do what he does best and top the US box office week with the fifth in the Mission Impossible films.

Mission:Impossible Rogue Nation takes over the number 1 spot with a debut weekend gross of $56 million, similar numbers to the previous instalment from 2011.

The National Lampoons Vacation series starts a new generation with the Griswolds kids following in the footsteps of father at 2.

Vacation enters with a weekend gross of $14.8 million, far lower than expected.

Last weeks top film, Ant-Man, falls down to number 3 this week with $12 million, a total gross of $132 million to date.

Highest grossing film on the UK box office this week is Jurassic Park which has taken $329.6 million to date.
