The Turtles fall into second place after a 2 week spell at the top during which they made a very good $145.6 million from 3 week of release.
It has now become the highest grossing film of the summer and Guardians of the Galacy goes back to the top with a $17.6 million weekend and a $251.9 million total.
It was a very slow weekend at the US box office, the highest new film being the R.J. Cutler directed If I Stay starring Chlo� Grace Moretz which debuted at 3 with $16.4 million.
Other new film on the US box office this week are - When the Game Stands Tall at 5 - Sin City: A Dame to Kill For at (perhaps disappointingly) 8
