Thor: Ragnarok
With very good reviews from critics, good pre launch buzz and part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe there was never any doubt that Thor: Ragnarok was going to have a huge debut at the US box office. Thor: Ragnarok

That debut was to the tune of $121 million which means the film starring Chris Hemsworth is the 7th biggest opening for an MCU film.

To round out the numbers its also the 17th number one film from the Disney series and the 8th which has delivered a $100 million plus opening, it beats Spiderman Homecoming from earlier this year.

With Thor out of the way last weeks halloween hit Jigsaw, as expected, falls hard this week and ends up at number 3 with $6.7 million, its total US gross now sits just below $30 million.

A Bad Moms Christmas
