War For the Planet of the Apes
The prequel trilogy of The Planet of The Apes concludes this year with the release of War For The Planet of The Apes, and the much loved series makes its debut at the top.

Directed by Matt Reeves and starring Woody Harrelson and a motion capped Andy Serkis the third film in this trilogy makes its US debut with $56 million.

Spider-Man Homecoming spends just a week at the top and falls to number 2 with a weekend gross of $45.2 million.

This brings the film total US gross to $208 million from 10 days of play, good for a Spider-Man movie and about inline with most of the others if not a little higher, especially from its immediate predecessor.

Also new this week is horror film Wish Upon which opens in 7th place with $5.5 million.

Wonder Woman it yet again the longest stay on the box office with a 7 week run and the highest total grossing film with $380 million from the US box office.
