World Box Office Weekend Report 4th - 6th June 2021: The Conjuring 3 moves to the top as its global market count increases

This weekend across the globe the horror movie The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It climbs to the top of the box office as it opens in more countries including the USA.

This means A Quiet Place: Part II fall to number 2 and with no other big new releases the rest of the top 5 does a little shuffle around.

The third movie in The Conjuring series increases its country count to 45 this weekend and jumps up the box office from 10 to number 1.

The horror movie takes a very decent $26.7 Million, an increase of 85% from last weekend, on its second weekend giving it a global gross of $57.1 Million.

A Quiet Place Part II

Falling to number 2 on its second weekend of release is the John Krasinski directed sequel movie which takes $19.2 Million, a hard drop of 17% from last weekend.

The movie which is released in 17 countries has now taken $138.6 Million globally.

Cruella

Disney's villain origin movie falls to number 3 this weekend after taking $18.6 Million from 37 countries, a 50% drop over last weekend, giving the movie $138.6 Million in total after 2 weeks.

Fast and Furious 9

The Fast series 9th movie has only been released in 8 countries so far with China being its biggest to date and this weekend falls to number 4 with $13.3 Million, down 57% over last weekend.

The Justin Lin directed film has been on the chart now for 3 weeks and has taken $255.9 Million globally.

Stand By Me Doraemon 2

The animated movie is still on the chart 18 weeks later and this weekend takes $7.7 Million from 8 countries, a 54% drop over last weekend, giving the movie a total gross of $67.7 Million globally.
