Selling well on DVD and Blu-ray this week, Rio 2 makes it's debut on the home entertainment chart at the top, removing The Lego Movie after it's spell as the top seller.
Rio 2 hit the UK box office during the Easter holidays this year making it's debut on the chart for April 4th, it debuted at the top with a opening weekend gross of £2.8 million.
Over a fantastic 12 week run at the UK box office it went on to a total gross of £15 million and is the 266th top grossing film ever in the UK.
On the world stage it has made $473 million making it the 135th top film ever. Compared to the first Rio film it outperformed it but only just.
With Rio 2 at the top and The Logo Movie at 2, Noah falls to 3 this week and Frozen holds steady at number 4.
Other new film on video this week
The Legend of Hercules at 5
Starred Up at 6
DVD and Blu-ray sales this week saw The Lego Movie hold onto the top spot as the biggest seller for a second week despite a challenge from Russell Crowe in Noah.
Noah did it's best to out sell the bricks this week but came in at number 2. The film was released in UK cinemas on April 4th of this year, it failed to be the biggest film of the week debuting at number 2 with a gross of £2.5 million.
It did go one better the following week climbing to number 2 but Captain America: The Winter Soldier kept if from topping the box office chart.
Over a 7 week period Noah managed to take a UK gross of just under £10 million, while on the world stage it is the 231st best grossing movie with a total of $352 million.

Lots of new films this week, a couple came out on Wednesday the rest due in UK cinemas on Friday (the proper day).
Pompeii came out on Wednesday, the story of the ill fated Italian city built under Mount Vesuvius which erupted suddenly and wiped out the whole city in 79AD. Like Noah from a few weeks back this has been given the Hollywood treatment, it stars Kit Harington and Emily Browning and is directed by Paul W. S. Anderson, a top 3 opening could be on the cards.
Plastic also came out on Wednesday, a British comedy film directed by Julian Gilbey about credit card fraud. Because it's a British film expect it to enter at about 5, mage a little lower.
Brick Mansions has had a lot of hype because it is the last film Paul Walker completed before his early death last year. Interest will be high and because of this a possible top 5 entry is likely.
Tarzan is an animated CGI film which incredibly realistic looking animation. No big names and little hype, this could miss the top 10 altogether.
Out on Saturday is Bad Neighbours, Seth Rogen and Zac Efron star in this comedy about neighbours who don't quite see eye to eye, one is a family man one a college graduate. It misses out on Fridays takings but may still do well on Saturday and Sunday for a top 10 entry.
This week in the UK Rio 2 makes the big step and flies to the top of the box office chart on it's debut weekend.
It was actually quite quiet this week and Rio 2 takes the crown with a relatively small £2.9 million. The sequel to 2011's Rio, the film enters the top just as the Easter holidays start so expect it to stay for a couple of week.
Last weeks top film, Captain America: The Winter Soldier falls down to 2 this week with £2.8 million taking it's 10 day total to £10.9 million.
Other new films this week are
Noah
Divergent
La Boheme Met Opera 2014
The Double
Main Tera Hero
