UK Box Office Weekend Report 29th - 31st March 2024: Kung-Fu Panda 4 wins the box office in a two way tie for the top on its debut weekend

Kung-Fu Panda 4
It was a battle for the top this weekend with the releases of Kung-Fu Panda 4 and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire both released for the Easter weekend, but the animated take and Kung-Fu Panda sequel won the box office with less than a million pound between the two.

Kung-Fu Panda 4 took just over £5 Million on its debut which is better than the previous movies £4.7 Million but not close to the original movies over £6 Million debut.

Godzilla and King Kong movies have always done well in the UK and the release of the latest blockbuster to star both monsters makes its debut at 2 this weekend.

The movie takes just over £4 Million on its debut which in comparison to the last released movie, Godzilla Minus One is far batter.

Last weeks number 1 movie, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire falls by 47% this weekend and has taken a total of £8.2 Million over 2 weeks, actually better than Ghostbusters: Afterlife!
