With the second weekend of a Marvel Cinematic Universe movie its not a case of will it still be at the top but what percentage will it drop, and Doctor Strange In the Multiverse of Madness duly stays number 1 with a rather large 71% drop!

The indie smash hit Everything Everywhere All At Once was the top new movie of the weekend coming in at number 3 while the event movie Little Mix Live: The Final Show (for Now ) was new at number 5 from a single day showing.

A whole host of new movie hit the lower end of the box office starting with Firestarter~2022, a remake of the 1984 movie new at 9 with £250,005, and also inside the top 10 is Sarkaru Vaari Paata which takes £177,903.

Outside the top 10 is Saunkan Saunkane at 14 with £103,278 and The Quiet Girl at number 15 with £85,466.

Doctor Strange In the Multiverse of Madness

The sequel movies second week has the MCU title dropping by a large 71% over last weeks total as it pulls in £5.6 Million.

This is still a fairly impressive 56% of the total Uk box office, in comparison to Spider-Man: No Way Home from late last year it does better as that movie dropped 85% and went on to gross nearly £100 Million.

The movie has a total UK gross so far of £30 Million, £20 Million below the last Spider-Man movie, but it should keep the top spot warm until the next high flying summer blockbuster in a couple of weeks.

The movie is currently the 3rd top movie of 2022 and should take over at number 2 from Sing 2 by next weekend.

Downton Abbey: A New Era

Staying put at number 2 is the sequel movie from the TV show Downton Abbey which takes £971,705 on its third weekend of release, a modest 37% drop over last weekend.

This gives the period movie a total UK gross of £10 Million and its the 10th top movie of 2022.

Everything Everywhere All at Once

One of the biggest indie hits of recent time, Michelle Yeoh stars in Dan Kwan and Daniel Scheinert's multiverse bending movie that is actually giving Doctor Strange a run for its money.

making its debut at number 3 this weekend with it takes £681,351 with the potential to get even better and good word of mouth spreads.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2

The fast blue hedgehog falls to 4 this weekend with a weekend gross of £519,913, a small 18% drop, which gives the movie a total UK gross of £24 Million and the 5th top movie of 2022.

Little Mix Live: The Final Show (For Now...)

Play their final concert, for now, the female three piece group have their concert streamed into cinemas for those that with couldn't get their or couldn't get tickets.

The event movie takes £361,908 on its single Saturday performance.
