Highest New Movie of the Weekend

Director Jordan Peele has become one of the big names in horror movies these days, and after the acclaimed Get Out from 2017 and Us from 2019 a new movie from the director of much anticipated.

His new movie lands at the top of the US box office this weekend with a gross of $44 Million, which is higher than Get Out but less than the $71 Million debut of Us.

After a couple of weekend at the top of the US box office the latest MCU movie falls to number 2 with a weekend gross of $22 Million, a large 53% drop over last weeeknd.

This gives the movie a total US gross of $276 Million after 3 weeks of release, it also makes it the 6 top movie of 2022.

Slipping to number 3 this weekend is the sequel movie to Minions which takes $12.7 Million, a 34% drop over last weekend.

The animated movie which is part of the Despicable Me universe has now taken $297.8 Million in North America and is the 5th top movie of 2022.

Where The Crawdads Sing

Last weekends highest debut falls to number 4 this weekend with $10.3 Million, a 40% drop giving the movie a 2 weekend total gross of $38.3 Million.

Falling to number 5 on its 9th weekend of release is the legacy sequel to the 1986 movie Top Gun which takes $10 Million on its 9th weekend of release.

The movie has performed far beyond anyones expectations and with a total US gross of $635 Million is the top grossing movie of 2022.

The movie has also this weekend gone into the top 10 all time movies in North America where it sits at number 9 having removes Star Wars: The Last Jedi from 2017 out of the top 10 and ever gone as far as grossing movie than 2012's Avengers Assemble (Avengers in the North America).
