The Despicable Me series has been a massive success for Dreamworks, and of course the little yellow Minions have been part of that success, they get a sequel movie later this summer and today be get the first trailer.
The first Minions movie went on the gross $1.5 Billion globally so a sequel was perhaps inevitable, and it looks like the world of the Minions is going to come crashing in on the Despicable Me world as we get to see how Gru (the evil mastermind) teamed up with them.
The movie stars the voice talent of Steve Carrell as the central character of Gru and Pierre Coffin and the (voice!) of the Minions.
With director Kyle Balda behind the movie who is a veteran of the franchise we should have a good film on our hands, he is assisted by new comer to the series Brad Ableson.
The trailer os of course funny, and the film makers have an incredible talent for making us laugh with just the characters actions.
The film is set for a release later this summer on 10th June.

This week the animated series of Despicable Me in its third incarnation, imaginatively titled Despicable me 3, removed the latest Transformers movie from the top after spending just a week at the summit.
The Despicable Me movie took a decent £11 million from the weekend, the third film, or fourth if you count Minions, in the series comes in under the second film in the series but way above the original, which is to be expected.
Worth a note, last years Minions debuted with almost the exact same gross as this movie so the series has perhaps plateaued but we will only be able to tell from future episodes.
Transformers: The Last Knight falls down to number 3 this week with a weekend gross of £1.06 million bringing the films total gross to £8 million.
Transformers fall leap frogs over Baby Driver which makes its debut at number 2 this week, the much hyped film makes £3.6 million on its debut.
Directed by Edgar Write Baby Driver does better than nearly all other Write directed movies other than Hot Fuzz which was his follow up movie to the excellent Shaun of The Dead and was much hyped as well.
Also new this week is All Eyez On Me which us new at 4 with just under a million pound and quite disappointingly so The House which is new at 6 with Half a million pound.
The Boss Baby is this week the longest running film on the box office with 13 weeks and the highest total grossing with £28.5 million.

After a release last week in some smaller location Despicable Me 3 gets its wider global release and tops the chart in the process.
Diminishing returns for the series means the third film gets the lowest wide release of the series but it still manages a $171 million for the week from 53 countries.
This brings the films total global gross to $192.3 million, well below the other films in the series and with Despicable Me 2 grossing just under a billion dollars and Minions taking $1.1 billion this one could fall way short.
Transformers: The Last Knight made its debut at the top last week but this week falls to number 2, small $85 million week gross from 45 countries takes the films total to $429.9 million.
Baby Driver this week goes to 17 countries sits at number 4 with $27.8 million which brings the films total gross to $36.8 million.
Highest new film of the week is The House starring Will Farrell and Amy Poehler which debuts at 9 with $11.7 million from 21 countries.
Wonder Woman is the top total grossing film of the week, currently at number 3 its taken $707.9 million in world grosses.
A new trailer for Despicable Me 3, the twin brother scenario, its as old as the hills.
