World Box Office Report Weekending 7th February 2016: Panda 3 stays at the top, A Violent Prosecutor highest new film

Kung Fu Panda 3 continues to dominate the world box office this week with a world gross of $44 million over the week, made even more impressive as its only from 8 countries.

The Jack Black voiced animated tale has now taken just shy of $200 million over its 2 week run, and with much of the world still to go it could go onto $500 million with ease.

Highest new film of the week across the world is A Violent Prosecutor, the Chinese film took $19.5 million from its single country of release, albeit the second largest cinema going country.

The Force Awakens is still pulling in the audiences in 47 countries and this week gets closer to taking over Titanic as the second highest grossing film over, its total gross is now $2.08 billion.
