The character of Stich is CGI but there are live action people in this version headed up by Maia Kealoha as Lilo who is making a feature film debut, it also stars Sydney Agudong who has starred in At Her Feet and West Michigan.

Directing the movie is Dean Fleischer Camp who previously directed Marcel the Shell With Shoes On.
